Hi! I actually have not explored the world of fancy crochet hooks, like ones made of bamboo or wood. I’m with you. I’ve been using Susan Bates metal hooks since the day Grandma Wendelton taught me and gave me my first set.  Sometimes when I crochet a lot, the color on the hook starts rubbing off on my fingers, and then my fingers turn black!!! So I’ve recently been exploring the Susan Bates metal hooks with the wooden handle. They’re pretty great! And comfy!
