Yes! I usually always have something new brewing away, but I don’t like to talk about it until it’s ready. Sometimes exciting projects don’t end up coming to fruition (such is the nature of business!), so I’d rather not get everyone’s (and my) hopes up until I have something real to show you guys. I’m still thinking on a 2nd book. There are a few business-related things I need to figure out before making my next book-move :). Don’t worry. I’ll keep y’all posted when there’s news about that!

Hi! I guess I wasn’t always “loud.” I didn’t really care about my clothes growing up. I have never really been cool or trendy and have always just sort of done my own thing and wore what I thought was comfy (I didn’t let go of big sweaters and stirrup pants for a LONG time and kids in jr high would make fun of me for not wearing jeans!).
You could always just try a pop of color, just one piece of clothing or one accessory that is different from your usual. I probably get funny looks, but I don’t really look at other people a lot so I don’t know :P. My BFF and I were just out of town for the weekend, and she said she felt like an alien walking around with me. When I was in India with my family a few months ago, old men would look at me and straight up laugh in my face! Oh well, if it made them laugh, even if they were laughing AT me, at least they laughed that day :P.
I usually have a big sale after any craft show that I vend at, which is soon! I’ll be in NYC for Bust Craftacular, and then anything that I have left over usually goes on sale (mostly the more spendy items like the scarves). This is also why I wrote a book, so that people could make them instead of buy them, too :) xo
Hi there! I feel you! Here are my personal thoughts: knitting IS prettier for projects like sweaters and clothing. It is less dense than crocheting and has a much better drape. Crochet often produces a thick material that doesn’t wear as well on the body. Crochet projects also often take up more yarn than knitted projects, so your yarn expense would be greater. However, you can create certain shapes a lot more easily with crochet, where the knitted equivalent would just melt and be floppy or not even look like the right shape. So I think there are pros and cons to both!
The pattern was created using Lionbrand Homespun, which is very fluffy and lofty, so I think, perhaps, there are fewer holes than if you used a regular yarn. I unfortunately don’t have an immediate solution for ya! The thought I had was to first crochet a row of sc before working your scallop row, so the scallops have more to grab onto, but I didn’t have time to put this theory to the test or see if it still looked cute. Maybe you could give it a go! :)
I rarely block anything I crochet, because I work in a lot of acrylics, and synthetic fibers don’t block well at all. Sorry I’m not so helpful!
With a bead, I would try to sew it on if possible. I use pom poms and permanent, washable fabric glue that does not scratch the skin. Another thing I take into consideration is time/labor vs. pricing. Sewing takes more time. Good luck!

Yeah I didn’t really watch it until I saw a marathon of season1 right before season 2 started. Since I work from home all day/all night, I end up watching a LOT of mindless TV. I think Maddy is amazing, and I like trying to see the evolution in the girls’ dancing. I just always wonder why the moms don’t leave already if they are so unhappy!! Hence, dramaz! I’m excited to see what Dance Moms Miami is like!
I shop at Michael’s and Joann Fabrics (and now Beverly’s now that I discovered I live so close to one!) a lot to keep my costs down, but I also love shopping at my local yarn shop ImagiKnit for the fancier stuff. I only shop online after I’ve seen a yarn in person first. JimmyBeansWool.com. PurlSoho.com. Kyarns.com. Those are a couple places I go back to frequently.
HI!!! I’m an old lady!!! I am going to turn 36 this year! Holy heck.
It was a custom made by www.etsy.com/shop/athinalabella
Yep, they already sold out. There were only 3 sets, tho. :( Hopefully we’ll do more!
Hi, unfortunately, I dont really have one to sell. I didn’t receive samples of everything :P. The felting process is very labor-intensive for me, so if I made them, it would probably still be around $70.00. I may experiment with lining them with fabric vs. felting, but I need to set aside time for that experiment :).
Hi! I’m so glad you liked it! I am not sure if I want to sell them yet. I feel like it was a really special item that Nara imagined for Liz! It didn’t take too long to come up with the pattern, since I’ve done a lot of cupcake-themed projects already :). I think the hard part of turning it into a purse would be finding the right purse to put a cupcake cozy on. I didn’t construct a ring box from scratch. I bought a round ring box online and built the cupcake around it :) xo
Hi! I did a mac n cheese cowl once but I’d have to figure out a way to make the mac more efficient to make!

I’ve done milk carton zipper pouches and tea cup scarves. I have a lot of sketches of all kinds of things, but it’s just a matter of having time to execute all of them and also keep up with custom orders! :) The next month or two, I want to dedicate to new designs, though, like gummy bears, and circus animal cookies! The thing that’s important for my work is that things are recognizable in crocheted 2D format, but not overly detailed. Too much detail can weigh the scarf down, make it look bad on the back side, or just make it too expensive to sell for a reasonable price. Thanks so much! :)
Uh, I think this question is really funny. I’m a terrible dancer. I don’t like dancing. I’m the one standing in the corner. Unless I’ve had a few drinks. Then I’ll jump and snap my fingers like Courtney Cox in a Bruce Springstein video. Manda’s got moves! She will win the dance competition! Hairy refuses to dance except the robot.
Hi Ellie! (1) My favorite food is tough, because I’m not a very picky eater and I’ll eat almost anything. My favorite food genre is baked goods, mostly brownies, but I also love potato chips!!! And sushi! AHH!! (2) Favorite scarf: I think the cupcake scarf is easiest to go with my outfits, but I really want to make myself a pizza scarf! (3) You’re right! I am in the habit of selling everything I make, and I rarely save time to make stuff for myself :( so no, I don’t have one of everything. I only have 2 cupcake scarves and a bacon/egg scarf for me! Thank you so much for your questions :) xoxoxo <3
Hi there! Thank you so much following me on this adventure! :D xo

Hi Alie! YES! I was tiny when I was 13! There was a moment when we had to weight ourselves in gym and all the guys thought it was funny that I hadn’t broken 100 lbs yet! hehe. Don’t worry, though. You may not appreciate it now, but you are gonna feel so blessed to have awesome genes when you are older and everyone thinks you are younger!!! Don’t grow up too fast. You have your whole life to be older! :) xoxox
