I know I had asked you a question pertaining to crocheting pinwheel candies back around September 12th. Well I am happy so say that I figure out a design, and wanted to show you. So attached should be a picture of the scarf I am currently working on. ( imageshack. us/photo/my-images/90/31586427490171253389310. jpg/ )

Hi! I sort of remember the question but not really. Hehe, I do remember the pattern you referenced though, which was more 3D, so it looks like you went a more 2D route with this one, kind of like my lollipop brooch pattern. Looks cute! great job :D

You are too cute. One day when I am rich enough, I will buy everything you make!

You can be a little less rich and still buy everything once my Yummy You line is up and at it again! :D

hello hun im a big fan or yours & i bought your crochet book & im having a little bit of trouble trying to make the stitchers :( i was wonderin if you would make a video making these stitches pleaaaaaase <3

Hi hi!!! There are toooooons of basic how-to-crochet videos out there already. I would recommend searching on you tube for “teresa art of crochet.” She has a great youtube channel ranging from basic stitches up to small projects! :)

Oops. I thought that was Crotch Makeup and that was a vagina covering your mouth. I was really horrified for like two seconds.

I don’t think you’ll be the only one!

Come on, let's get married. We'd have the coolest wedding ever. Barbie herself would be jealous.

Any girl would be a fool to not accept an anonymous Tumblr marriage proposal.

Twinkie! You are such an inspiration to me, and recently I have picked up crocheting which is something I have never tried in my life until recently. I have knitted, and I sew, but crocheting is so new and exciting to me! I hope to be as good as you some time. I just adore you so much <3 I bought your book, and am hoping to be able to make those adorable sweaters soon! <3

Hiiiii!!! I’m the opposite! I want to learn to sew better! ;) Thank you so much for buying my book! I don’t make sweaters , though :P. p.s. i msgd you on Etsy! xo

Hi :3 I just want to say how much I love your work! But I do have a question, I bought your book and I'm having trouble reading the scallop pattern for the cupcakes :( I don't know what the 1/8 or 2/8 mean. I am going to kick myself if it's something simple....

Hi! I also have a group on Ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/groups/twinkie-chans-crochet-goodies-group if you have more questions later :). Everyone is really nice and helpful! “1/8 , 2/8” etc is just referring to breaking up that edge into 8 imaginary sections. Basically, you just need to work 4 scallops evenly across the edge. If you can just eyeball that and where all the scallops go, then you’re set!

hellooo i love your creations sooo much! you're such a creative inspiration. just wanted to ask you something i've been wondering for a while now, what's your real first name? thanks!

Wouldn’t it be less fun to ruin the mystery? ;)

I stumbled across your blog seven months ago, you're pretty much the reason I took up crocheting. I had to have the carrot scarf. Thank you for my new fantastic hobby. ヾ(・u ・ヾ*)

HI! You’re so sweet!!! And I am so happy you picked up crocheting again. Now even watching tv can be productive while we make cute stuff! :) xo

I thought I saw someone post you were pregnant. Sorry! I actually didn't even think you were pregnant. Something was said about tattoos and pregnancy. IF you do end up having a baby it would have the most darling nursery ^_^.

No worries! I thought it was funny :P. If I have a baby it would be covered in dog hair and pom poms.

Can you show us the tattoos you have that we don't see regularly? And what all is on your sleeve?

There was a website that interviewed me and I sent them a bunch of pictures of my tattoos, but I think they have since re-vamped their site and seem to have pulled their tattoo features. Maybe I’ll upload them here later in a photo set!!! Also, my sleeve isn’t even done yet!

With all the food items you have made... have you ever made a "twinkie chan" version of a granny square blanket... it would be so awesome! Like a bacon, egg and toast blanket ☺

Hi! I am dying to do blankets!!!!! Granny square-like repeats or even just like one big giant piece of pizza!! But I have never had time to tackle such a big project. Maybe in the future!!! I once did make a cookie blanket made of a bunch of cookies. I still have it in my closet. It took so long to make that I didn’t think anyone would want to pay the price I’d want to put on it to part with it! :P

I'm hoping that you may be able to help me. I am trying to crochet pinwheel candy, I have found a free online pattern for it on Lion Brand. The problem I am having is that I don't understand written patterns, I have tried and failed. On the other hand I do learn through step by step photos or video's. Is there any way you may be able to create a tutorial, or send me in the direction of one that someone has already created?

I don’t know if there is a video tutorial for the specific project you need. Since most patterns are written, and not with step by step photos or videos, I think you need to really push yourself to try to understand the written patterns. There are also patterns with charts that you might find more helpful, but I don’t really read charts myself, so I am not help in that regard. Just get really familiar with the crochet abbreviations. Art of Crochet by Teresa has tons of tutorials on YouTube, and it might be helpful for you to watch some videos of tons of basic stitches and projects to get familiar with everything. Good luck!

Thank you so much! :D I’m so happy to hear you picked up your crocheting again!

Burger Mitts have landed in Australia today! :D They're amazing, more amazing than words or photos can explain! More than worth the money! I thank you very much for your awesome food-crochet skills! omnomnom!

I have to ask, where do you get tattooed? Cutest tattoos in the world!

Most of my tattoos are by Holly Ellis at Idle Hand here in San Francisco. The licorice bow on my back is my Misha in L.A. and the very first tattoos I got, which nobody really sees, as they are in the backs of my ankles, were by Clifton Carter now his own shop here in SF, Lighthouse Tattoo.

Not to be weird but your book taught me how to crochet and now I crochet sculptures and draft my own patterns for plushies. So... thanks for opening me up to my new love.

OH yay!!! Your note makes me so happy! :D  I’m kinda surprised, too, because I didn’t think that my how-to-crochet instructions were enough to help a beginner actually learn!!! So thrilled you also get to enjoy this super fun craft  :) xo

Can you tell us anything about Hairy? What he does, how you met, how he feels about having such a wonderfully colorful home with you, etc?

Hairy is very mysterious. If you ask him what he does for work he gets very evasive and quiet. We all just assumed he was a spy, because he speaks Russian. We met, very stupidly and nerdily, on MySpace. He messaged me and told me he likes to cook. Mmm food! He is a classically trained chef but cooks only for fun. His job has nothing to do with food. He also co-owns an art gallery and a screenprinting business. He used to a be a supergoth, and I’m dying to see a photo of him from his goth days, but he claims non exist. He seems to be ok with living in a colorful home, even though his own home decor color of choice is a mixture of brown and gray! I think he just laughed when I told him about that question.

Hey! I was just wondering if the patterns in the "Sugar on top" mini book are easy enough for a very much beginner in crocheting? I am more of a knitter but I am so inspired by your designs that I would love to try some crocheting :) Thanks! <3

Hi! It might be a little confusing if you are a super beginner. Nothing is really hard, but it’s easier if you are familiar already with reading crochet patterns :).
